This past weekend, Rainey Media was invited to be a media partner with the George Chiu Golf Classic. The purpose of the GCGC is to identify up and coming Chinese golfers and create scholarships to aid them in developing their skills in the sport. It was established by businessman George Chui who is the co-founder of the Mandarin restaurant chain. We’re producing a video to promote the event to sponsors, donors, and potential golf superstars. It was an incredibly busy day!
There was a good turnout for the press conference and it was really incredible to see so many young people taking up golf and really excelling in it. Two of the top golfers from last years tournament were under 10! Watch out Tiger Woods!
After the George Chui Golf Classic press conference, it was time for a more family-oriented event. April brings us Songkran, the Thai New Year and since my wife is Thai, we had to celebrate.
FUN FACT: Did you know that according to the Thai calender the current year is 2556?

Water is an important aspect to Thai New Year as it represents cleansing and a new start. Here we are pouring water on the Buddhas, before putting a little on each other. It’s the first time our little Natalie has seen any of this. She wanted to touch EVERYTHING!
