As they say, “When it rains it pours!”

Summertime is easily our busiest season of the year since everyone wants to film when the weather is nice.

So, as is becoming a trend with us, we have many projects to share on our site, but finding the time to actually post about them is difficult.

Regardless, we’d never want to leave you hanging so here’s what we’ve been up to lately:

June started with Dean speaking to the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise about a series of videos we’re producing on the Waterford Shadowlake Trails.  As a supporter of the trail system, Rotary is providing funding for the videos.  Dean outlined the concepts for the video and shared a sneak peak of some aerial footage we recently filmed.  He even made it into the local paper:

Next, we wrapped post-production on our documentary about the restoration work done at Backus Mill.  The video should be made available to the public after this July 4th premier screening:

Following the end of that project, Dean flew to beautiful Santa Barbara in – supposedly – sunny California – where it was overcast and cloudy for the few days he was there filming.  This project was for bestselling author, Jack Canfield.  Jack is best known for his wildly popular “Chicken Soup for  the Soul” book series.  A few years back, Dean produced a short documentary on Jack, which was widely popular online.  Dean was asked back to produce a new video training series where Jack teaches aspiring authors how to write a bestselling book.  Check out the original documentary here:

Next, we were back filming another product launch video series with world champion dog trainer Susan Garrett.  This time we are producing an epic series for her Recallers online course.

For this video series we’ve had to source a lot of “dog” stock footage, which often comes without its own sound.  That means we need to get creative.  Here we are recording some foley (a technical process by which sounds are created or altered for use in a film or video.) of a dog running through a field:

And here’s the first Recallers teaser promo:

Also, at least once a week, we’ve been hitting the open road to film events for local cable TV company, Eastlink. We have covered events such as, Relay for Life in Simcoe, the arrival of the wheelhouse at the Port Burwell Marine Museum, Edisonfest in Vienna (Ontario, not Austria, unfortunately), as well as “Get-a-Pet”, a bi-weekly segment devoted to adopting animals from the local humane society.  Below, Ryan films the great Wheelhouse as it travels from Selkirk to Port Burwell.

And of course, we are still consistently producing content for Author, online marketer, and blogger, Michael Hyatt and his team.

Finally, we are still hammering away at the SUPER secret project we have been working very diligently on.

In between all of this madness, it’s always a good idea to take a day to relax.  So, half-way through the month we took a day to have a team lunch and see the show “CORPSE!”, a play presented by the Port Dover Lighthouse Theatre and featuring our good pal Phil McLaren.

It’s been a crazy month to say the least, but we’re very excited to showcase these finished projects and are always looking forward to our future endeavors. Hopefully our next post will be sooner than later.

As always, stay tuned!
