For the last 2 years, Rainey Media has had the opportunity to provide video promotion support to Amy and Stu McLaren’s charity World Teacher Aid. WTA was created with the intent to feed and educate the children of Kenya and ultimately help these displaced people re-build their communities.
In 2011, I traveled to the Giwa Farms IDP settlement in Rongai, Kenya to document the construction of the primary school being built there. It was amazing to meet these children and see the how much joy they have in their lives even though they have nothing. When I returned home, I created a short documentary to help spread the word about WTA and the work they are doing overseas.
In 2012, I returned to Kenya with World Teacher Aid to film a promo for their most recent campaign, Can One Dollar Make a Difference? The campaign has just launch and we are working to spread its message through online and social media. My hope is that you will be moved by the video and the children’s message and donate to their future and help us spread the word. On our side of the planet one dollar can’t even buy a cup of coffee. But for the children of Kenya, one dollar can make an enormous difference in their lives.
On a production note: although they always say don’t work with animals or children, these kids were GREAT! They have beautiful smiles and personalities that light up the screen. The camera loved them!
